Academy High School freshmen have been learning CPR as part of their Introduction to Health Science class thanks to a grant from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). This opportunity equips students with life-saving skills and allows them to earn a certification that can enhance their resumes.

Blending geography and English for deeper learning at Academy High School

At Academy High School, ninth-grade students are exploring geography and English in a unique, combined learning experience. This approach, part of the Mapleton Educator Empowerment Teams (MEET) program, helps students understand complex topics from different angles. By blending the two subjects, the program enriches their education and helps them make connections between what they read and the world around them.

September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Every day matters in Mapleton! Good attendance plays a crucial role in a student’s educational journey, serving as a key predictor of academic achievement and social development. In Mapleton, it's our goal to have students attend school at least 95% of the time – missing no more than nine days a year for any reason. It's time to complete the Annual Update! 

The Annual Update is the online process where current Mapleton families may:

  • Update contact information and emergency contacts.
  • Add and enroll additional student(s) in the household.
  • Enroll in a new school for the upcoming school year for a current student.
  • Confirm enrollment for the upcoming school year for a current student.

Listening and Learning Tour coming to a SAAC near you!

Mapleton Education Foundation's Scholarship application is now open to seniors

The Mapleton Education Foundation’s 2023-24 scholarship application is now open to Mapleton seniors! Applications are due Friday, March 8, at 3:30 p.m., and scholarships are available for students interested in attending traditional universities or colleges, vocational or technical schools, or even apprenticeship programs in-state or out-of-state.
