2026 Fall Sports Registration - Opens July 20
High school sports registration for the 2026-27 school year opens July 20 for Fall sports, with the first official practices set for August 3. Fall sports opportunities include football, cross country, boys soccer, girls flag football, girls volleyball, and cheerleading.

Academy High School student leads blood drive to save lives
A student-led blood drive organized by an Academy High School senior brought students and staff together at the Skyview Student Center to support a critical community need. With 24 donors participating, the effort could help save dozens of lives.

Academy High School launches Patient Care course for senior students
Academy High School expanded its health science offerings this semester with a new Patient Care course, giving seniors more hands-on ways to explore the medical field. The course teaches students how to support patients in hospital settings, including assisting with mobility, hygiene, and basic daily care needs.

Every day matters in Mapleton! Good attendance plays a crucial role in a student’s educational journey, serving as a key predictor of academic achievement and social development. In Mapleton, it's our goal to have students attend school at least 95% of the time – missing no more than nine days a year for any reason. Academy High School freshmen learn CPR training
Academy High School freshmen have been learning CPR as part of their Introduction to Health Science class thanks to a grant from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). This opportunity equips students with life-saving skills and allows them to earn a certification that can enhance their resumes.

Blending geography and English for deeper learning at Academy High School
At Academy High School, ninth-grade students are exploring geography and English in a unique, combined learning experience. This approach, part of the Mapleton Educator Empowerment Teams (MEET) program, helps students understand complex topics from different angles. By blending the two subjects, the program enriches their education and helps them make connections between what they read and the world around them.
